A Week at the Claddagh: Specials and Happy Hour, Night by Night
Steak on Monday, burgers on Wednesday, crab cakes on Thursday: how to plan a week around the board.

Every day of the week has something on the board at Claddagh Pub, and the weekday happy hour runs on top of that. If you live or work near Canton Square, the board is a good way to decide what to do with a Tuesday. Here's the week, one night at a time, with the prices as the pub lists them on the weekly specials board.
Monday and Tuesday: steak nights
Monday is a 14oz New York Strip with 2 sides for $25, dine-in only. On the regular menu, the 14oz NY Strip is $37, so Monday takes $12 off. Tuesday moves up to an 8oz Filet Mignon with 2 sides for $27, also dine-in only. If you're a steak person, those two nights are the reason to stay close to the Square early in the week.
Wednesday: $8 sandwich night
Wednesday is the easy one. A Burger with fries or chips is $8, and so is a Chicken Sandwich with fries or chips. The regular price for the burger is $12, so it's a good night to bring a group that wants a quick, cheap dinner and plenty of conversation. The burger comes as an 8oz patty with a pickle on a fresh bun, and toppings like bacon or cheddar are available for a dollar or two on the regular menu.
Thursday: crab cakes and a late start
Thursday brings 2 Giant Crab Cakes with 2 sides for $37, dine-in only. For the drinking side of the board, from 7 PM to close, Michelob Ultra is $1 and Sour Bombs are $6. If you've been wondering how the crab cakes taste, this is the night to find out. The menu guide to the pub's crab dishes is a good companion for the evening.
Friday: fish and a late-night board
Friday has two parts. From 11 AM to 5 PM, Fish & Chips is $15, down from $20 on the regular menu, which makes it a good lunch for the end of the work week. Later, from 9:30 PM to close, Crushes are $8 and Surfside & Super Lyte are $6. Fish & Chips is the Irish classic on the menu, and it suits a pub that traces its roots to Irish family pubs in Baltimore.
Saturday and Sunday: brunch and sports
Weekends start at 9 AM, with brunch served until 2 PM. Saturday's board lists an Espresso Martini at $8 (open to 9 PM), Orange Crushes at $7, Michelob Ultra at $3, 30 wings at $28, 20 wings with a bucket of Bud Light at $35, and cheesesteaks at $8.
Sunday's board is headed Sports Specials: 1 lb of steamed shrimp at $23, 30 wings at $28, Natty Light at $2, Michelob Ultra at $3, NÜTRLs at $5, Surfside & Super Lyte at $6, Sour Bombs at $6, Crushes & Sangria at $8 and Espresso Martinis at $8.
The weekday happy hour
Happy hour runs Monday to Friday, 4 PM to 7 PM, and it is bar only, which means you'll want a seat at the bar, not a table. The happy hour menu includes:
- 20 Wings and a Bud Light Bucket for $35.
- 30 Wings for $28.
- Bottles of wine at half price.
- Sangria and Crushes.
- Bud Light at $3.
The daily list on the specials page adds a few more items for the same Monday to Friday window, including 1 lb of steamed shrimp at $23, NÜTRL at $5, and Surfside & Super Lyte and Sour Bombs at $6. The happy hour page and the specials board don't list a couple of the drinks at exactly the same price, so ask when you sit down. The pub also notes that prices can change without notice.
How to use the board
Pick a night and make it a habit. Monday strip steak with a friend, Wednesday burgers with the family, Thursday crab cakes when you want a real dinner, Friday fish and chips on the way out of the office. Check the dine-in only notes before you plan a carry-out dinner, since the Monday, Tuesday and Thursday dinners are for the table.
If you want a plan for the weekend, the morning guide covers it. If you have a group, the private rooms are on the private party page. The full lunch and dinner list is on the lunch and dinner menu, and the pub is at 2918 O'Donnell Street, (410) 522-4220. Check the specials page before you head over, because the board is where the week is decided.
